The best time to visit Koh Samui is February through April, as this time of year sees the least amount of rain. July brings some rain showers and higher humidity that lasts until October. From then until mid-January heavy winds often make an appearance and the rainfall doubles. Taking a chance and visiting during a shift into the rainier seasons can often pay off. Accommodation prices are lowered significantly during low seasons, as are the crowds, and weather is naturally unpredictable. With just a little bit of luck you can go for a week with no rain.
