Scuba Diving
The breathtaking beauty of Phuket doesn't end at the shoreline. Underwater is an amazing playground for certified divers. Top notch reefs, wrecks, walls, and wildlife are everywhere, just waiting to be explored. The majority of the Phuket area's most popular dive sites are about an hour boat ride away. PADI certified guides are everywhere on the island and easy to find. Training and certification courses can be obtained through most hotels or directly from the dive shops. Proper training is essential for every scuba diver.
Ideal diving conditions last December though May. The rest of the year is too rainy and the seas are too rough for safe boating or good visibility underwater.
Most, if not all, of the dive operations offer discounts to non-divers who wish to ride along in the boat and perhaps swim or snorkel.
With proper training and the ability to stay cool if trouble should arise, you shouldn't need a hyperbaric chamber. None the less, you should know where they can be found. Phuket has three.
Wachira Hospital is on the North side of Phuket Town.
Phuket International Hospital is also on the North side, just a bit West of Wachira Hospital.
Additionally, there is a private hyperbaric chamber in Patong.

Phuket is a large island with so much to see. One exhilarating way to explore is by taking an ATV (all terrain vehicle) tour. Guides are knowledgeable about the area, often stopping to point out interesting flora and fauna. An average tour will take you through the jungle and down to the beach, passing though a rubber plantation and a couple of big mud puddles, just for fun.

Dino Park is an entertaining place to bring the kids for the day. The Flintstone's themed miniature golf course offers 18 holes of fun surrounded by replicas of dinosaurs. After a fun round of golf everyone can enjoy Bronto Burgers served by staff dressed as cavemen. Dino Park also has a bar for the adults.
